Optimal roofing solutions for energy efficient buildings

Optimal roofing solutions for energy efficient buildings: Eurotec's Sarking Membranes

The roof is at the heart of an energy-efficient building. It protects against the effects of the weather. To ensure that the roof is durable and energy efficient, all components of the roof structure must meet high building physics requirements.

Vapour retarders and underlays are an important functional layer of a roof construction. The Eurotec product portfolio includes these components and offers a reliable solution for your roof. All the components offered are compatible with each other and meet the requirements of modern roof construction. They provide effective protection against external moisture, wind and dust.

Eurotec's Top 150 and Top 180 are three-ply, highly vapour permeable membranes suitable for insulated, ventilated and non-ventilated pitched roofs - even with formwork. They provide reliable protection even in heavy rainfall. They can also be used as a facade membrane with closed joints. Eurotec roofing membranes are characterised by increased tear resistance, which significantly improves working comfort. Another advantage is that no ventilation slit is required between the membrane and the thermal insulation (such as mineral wool or glass fibre) during installation. Eurotec roofing membranes can be applied directly onto the thermal insulation.

The vapour Barrier DB 140 control layer is a three-layer active vapour control layer consisting of two layers of polypropylene fleece and a functional film. This construction regulates the passage of vapour both to the attic and, if necessary, from the attic to the interior of the building. Used in residential and industrial buildings, it protects the loft from excessive moisture from inside the building that could penetrate the insulation. It also prevents the formation of mould in the loft.

Quality and safety in roofing

Eurotec's Top 150 and Top 180 underlays are listed by the German Roofing Association (ZVDH) and meet the necessary requirements.

The ZVDH defines the guidelines and standards that are intended to guarantee the quality and safety of roofing work. These professional rules cover various aspects such as material requirements, execution standards and safety and quality standards for the roofing trade.

To ensure that roofing work complies with industry-specific requirements, it is important that these rules are followed. Trade rules can vary by country and region as they are often set at a national or regional level. If you are looking for specific information on roofing trade rules, it may be helpful to check directly with the German Roofing Trade Association for the latest regulations.
